Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ Jesus.
Good morning.
Out of an abundance of caution due to the inclement weather, we will not be gathering together for our Sunday Corporate Worship. The drive is too hazardous. You are encouraged to worship the Lord God in your home setting (see guide below).
Stay warm. Stay safe.
In the Love of Jesus the Messiah,

GATHERING IN GOD’S PRESENCE
CHORAL CALL (repeat) As The Deer
As the deer pants for the water, So my soul longs after You.
You alone are my heart’s desire, And I long to worship You.
You alone are my strength, my shield, To You alone will my spirit yield.
You alone are my heart’s desire, And I long to worship You.
CALL TO WORSHIP Reading of Psalm 27: 1, 4-5, 8, 13-14
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
One thing I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: to live in the house of the LORD all the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in His Temple.
For He will hide me in His shelter in the day of trouble;
He will conceal me under the cover of His tent; He will set me high on a rock.
“Come,” my heart says, “seek His face!”
Your face, LORD, do I seek.
I believe that I shall see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!
CALL TO CONFESSION Out of the depths I cry to You, O LORD. Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications! If You, O LORD, should mark iniquities, Lord, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with You, so that You may be revered. I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in His word I hope (Psalm 130-1-5). Let us confess our sins against God and our neighbor.
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Loving and Compassionate God, You have opened the way for us to be born anew into Your kingdom, consecrated to carry Your message of reconciliation to this world.
And yet, we have allowed our fears and selfishness to hold us back from serving as Your agents of transformation. We humbly confess that we struggle to be faithful ambassadors of Your kingdom. Rather, we seek to simply follow our own routines and fulfil our own agendas.
Lord, forgive us. Cleanse us from all our unrighteousness and sins. Anoint and fill us with Your glorious Holy Spirit. Help us to joyfully serve You, sharing Your message of salvation.
Assurance: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who
believes in Him may not perish but may have eternal life. Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him” (John 3:16-17). Friends believe and trust this good news, in Christ Jesus we are forgiven.
Alleluia! Amen!
LISTENING FOR GOD’S WORD
UNISON PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION
Heavenly Father, through Your Holy Spirit, grant us wisdom and understanding so that as we hear Your Word we will be empowered to live in faithfulness and obedience to Your Word. Amen.
HOLY SCRIPTURE Jonah 3:1-5, 10 and Matthew 4:12-22
REFLECT ON THE MOVEMENT OF THOSE CALLED IN THE READINGS
REFLECT ON YOUR MOVEMENT AS A FOLLOERE OF CHRIST JESUS
RESPONDING TO GOD’S WORD
AFFIRMATION OF FAITH (In Unison) The Apostles’ Creed (Ecumenical)
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; He descended to the dead. On the third day He rose again; He ascended into heaven, He is seated at the right hand of the Father, and He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy universal Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
