IndicatorArt

IndicatorArt empowers individuals of all abilities, including those with developmental disabilities, to actively explore creative arts.  As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, IndicatorArt provides enriching programs that cultivate skills and encourage self-expression.  Matt Palmo started this organization in Buffalo, New York five years ago and has hired Debby Throckmorton to start the Nashville branch. We will be starting our first cycle on Tuesday, May 29th and will be offering two workshops.  Each workshop will meet every Tuesday (with the exception of July 3rd) for six weeks and then we will have a performance on Monday, July 16th at Douglas Corner.

Improv Workshop:   (think a super clean version of  “Who’s Line Is It Anyway”) Each student will not only learn acting, teamwork and comedic timing, they will also perform a live show at the end of the six week workshop.  The show will be filmed and each participant will receive an edited version of the show on DVD. Improv is for every level and teaches acting while each individual learns confidence.  The workshop is at Glen Leven Presbyterian Church (3906 Franklin Pike) on Tuesdays from 6:15-7:15PM.  Cost: $175 for entire workshop.

Singing Workshop:  Each student will sing one song they choose and one group song.   This workshop’s group song is “Hey Baby” written and sung by Bruce Channel, who will be joining us for one of the classes to film a video of the song. Each participant will also get to record their song at Ocean Way Studios.  Everyone will receive their recorded songs and a DVD of the edited video of the group song. Singing is for every level and each student will be taught vocal training and song performance.  The workshop is at Glen Leven Presbyterian Church (3906 Franklin Pike) on Tuesdays from 7:30-8:30PM.  Cost: $175 for entire workshop.

Please contact Debby Throckmorton at (615) 400-2534 for more information or to get enrolled.  We are starting with only two workshops (maximum 8 per workshop) so they will fill up quickly.
